We don’t believe piggies should be given as gifts, they are members of your family. But we will work with adopters who have thought it through and made contact with us early, for Christmas, ideally before December.
Other things to consider before choosing to adopt at Christmas, is if you will at home a lot to check they are settling in, or if you will be having a lot of visitors, making it a busy, noisy, time while piggies are settling in. For some families the extra time while they are having a break from school and work makes it the ideal time to adopt, for others things are too busy over the Christmas period.
Piggies can be reserved before a birthday, or Christmas, and the starter pack, or set up, is given as a the gift on Christmas morning. If it’s age appropriate we can provide a letter from Father Christmas explaining that the piggies have been left at the Nest, as it wasn’t safe to bring them on his sleigh!
You can then arrange to collect the piggies on the birthday, or to suit you. We do close between Christmas and new year, but we can arrange a time to open for any piggie collections. We will also be open for any piggies who lose a friend and aren’t doing well on their own.
If this is something you are thinking about, please contact us early and we can advise when to complete an application.
